An early start was the order of the day for 12 pupils and two staff who caught the Brittany Ferries high speed ferry to Cherbourg from Poole.
Arriving at 1030 local time they spent the morning purchasing essential supplies from local shops and asking for directions and the time.
Lunch was taken at a restuarant but not before the teaching staff had requested that the waitresses speak only French. The children ordered and paid for their meal themselves.
After lunch we visited the Cite de la Mer. The highlight of this visit for many was the Nuclear Submarine.
Our final stop was at the Hypermarket before returning to catch the ferry home.
