Years 7 and 8 decided to invite their parents to a Dinner Party at School.
The children chose the menu:
Melon
Lasagne with Galic Bread and Salad Garnish
Selection of home made deserts: Chocolate Cake; Chocolate Rum Cake; Liquor Mousse
Cheese and Biscuits
Coffee and Homemade Mints
All the food was prepared and cooked during normal lesson time and then frozen. The starter was prepared on the day of the meal.
On the afternoon of the meal, the children converted the school gym into a banquetting hall, learning how to lay tables, make table decorations, seating plans and place names.
The children were then shown how to wait at table and entertain a guest, other than their parents.
After dinner, Mickey Li entertained us all with his excellent piano playing.
