Sailing Club

 Sailing is the jewel in the crown of our sporting endeavours.Sailing is a timetabled curriculum subject. Every child in the school from Year 4 upwards is taught to sail for two hours a week from April through to the middle of October.

We sail at the 2012 Olympic Sailing Venue on Monday, Wednesday  and Thursday afternoons, and we compete at a high level.

RYA Recognised Teaching Establishment PDF Print E-mail

100-0024_img.jpgThornlow School is a RYA recognised teaching establisment. The children sail twice a week in our fleet of six Optimists, one Wayfarer and one Lysander. Sailing takes places at Castle Cove Sailing Club on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
