Soda bread is really easy to make!
300g strong white bread flour
1 heaped teaspoon of baking soda
half a teaspoon of salt
250g butter milk
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to make a firm dough.
Form the dough into a ball and place on a baking sheet. Cut a cross shape into the top of the dough.
Bake at 220 degrees centigrade for 35 minutes.
(Important: cover the top with tin foil as soon as the top of the bread goes golden brown.)
