To celebrate their centenary year, Thornlow Preparatory School is offering Centenary Scholarships, which are open to children born between 01.09.2005 and 31.08.2006. Parents of applicants will be required to complete and submit an application form no later than March 1st 2012. Please contact the school office for more details. |

As part of our celebrations for our Centenary Year, The Friends of Thornlow organised a wonderful Victorian Night.

St Andrew's Day was celebrated with the children coming into school dressed as characters from Scottish novels. The Saltire was hoisted on the school flag pole. Mr McGurk gave a talk at Assembly on scottish culture and then played a lament on the pipes. Can you guess who the characters are? Most of them came from the same novel. Peter Pan was the name of the novel. Who was the author?
Margi Chitty, an Old Girl of the school, judged the competition.

Helen Ellis took some AMAZING photos at school today - both portrait, siblings and class photos with teachers - Helen even managed to take a photo of the entire school - no easy task but worth it to mark our Centenary Year!
All photo proofs should be back by Monday 21st November 2011.
Thank you Helen for your flexibility and creativity you were outstanding today and the school cannot believe how many photos you managed to take in such a short period of time!
