Preparing children for life's horizons

Digital Learning

Thornlow has invested in the development of a new virtual learning platform; "itslearning" is a virtual communication platform between the pupil, teacher and parent - bringing the classroom to your home!

The constantly updated ICT suite at Thornlow lies at the heart of all our teaching and learning and we integrate ICT within all subject areas, from Nursery to Year 8. You know, yourself, how important it is.

Computing Science is constantly evolving and we ensure that we maintain pace to ensure that children not only learn basic keyboard skills but all the applications they will need for everyday life.  Word processing, data handling and modeling, programming, web design, digital photography, music and art are all covered within our Computer Science curriculum.

They learn to use the internet productively for information gathering. Here, we attach the highest importance to security and safety, making them aware that, though there are riches to be found on the internet, it can sometimes also be a perilous place.

Take a virtual tour of our ICT Suite.
