French

Everyone at Thornlow learns French from Reception.

We want your child to become aware of other countries, cultures and customs through speaking French and hearing it spoken by French people. We begin with practical activities at Foundation stage and progress through the Common Entrance syllabus.

To enhance learning Thornlow arrange day trips to France every 2 years therefore the opportunity to speak French is similarly inspired.

Learning to communicate with, and enjoy the company of, people, who speak other languages, is becoming increasingly important in order to create personal opportunity.

Thornlow pupils also study: English and Spanish.
